Democrat Party Fractured on Impeachment, What Happens Next

Impeachment is still the talk of the town. After the hearings went public, all of the ‘bombshells’ suddenly went quiet. The American people haven’t seen a single, credible shred of evidence that President Trump did anything wrong. After the Mueller report and now this new witch hunt, it’s beyond contestation.

The Democrats are trying to seize power. Plain and simple. They know they can’t win an election. They know that they’re in the wrong. And, they don’t care. They see impeachment as the only hope of holding control over the country, and they’re moving forward.

The craziest part is that this impeachment mess is so unbelievable that even a bunch of Democrats are against it. That goes for sitting Representatives too.

Essentially, the impeachment probe in the House is over. The Judiciary Committee under the direction of Rep. Jerrold Nadler is done calling witnesses (and those they did call never demonstrated direct knowledge of wrongdoing).

Nadler held a public hearing where they heard from ‘legal experts’ as to whether or not they should move forward with impeachment. Even in this kangaroo court, some of the ‘experts’ disagreed that impeachment is viable.

Despite that, Nancy Pelosi announced yesterday Democrats are going to formally draft articles of impeachment against the President. They’ll put it before a House vote, where a simple majority would push the process to the Senate.

Here are two important things to know before this happens. First, there has not been a single Republican who has supported impeachment. This is an entirely partisan maneuver. Second, not all of the Democrats support impeachment either.

This brings us to Representative Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ). A Democrat serving Jew Jersey, Van Drew has been publicly against impeachment from the start. He’s not the only Democratic Representative to make a case, but his latest comments on the matter are some of the strongest (from the left, at least).

According to Congressman Van Drew, President Trump’s actions regarding Ukraine have been unsavory but not impeachable. Basically, Van Drew admits that he doesn’t like the way President Trump runs the office, but that doesn’t mean the President has committed a crime or done anything to warrant removal from office.

He elaborated by pointing out that “no president has ever been removed from office . . . and to have a ‘small, elite group’ of lawmakers do so seems to be not only unfathomable but un-American.”

This is the crux of the whole issue. Democrats hate President Trump. They haven’t provided enough evidence to convince a fellow Trump-hating Democrat that impeachment is warranted. If they can’t meet that low bar, then they certainly haven’t convinced America.

Impeachment is a lie, a scam and a likely failure. If the Democrats are bold enough to move forward anyway, they may find that they don’t like how this process continues in the Senate.

Republican Senators have already promised to call real witnesses to the stand. Once we hear from the Bidens directly, we’ll all know the truth, and the Democrats will be done. This will probably prove to be one of the worst political blunders in American history.
