Hunter Biden’s Entire Career is Insanely Corrupt and Shady

The political world has been rocked by the New York Post’s publication of some of Hunter Biden’s personal emails. But none of that should surprise anyone who has bothered to look into Hunter Biden’s career. Was Hunter Biden profiting from his dad’s political connections in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and China in recent years? Absolutely. But that’s been Hunter Biden’s track record for his entire career. Check out how insanely corrupt the Biden family is, just based on Hunter Biden’s resumé.

Fresh out of college in 1996 (Georgetown and Yale, naturally), Hunter Biden did the same thing that every red-blooded, inexperienced, wet-behind-the-ears American kid does. He got a job as a senior vice president at a credit card company, MBNA, which was lobbying Joe Biden for laws that would make it harder for poor people to write off their credit card debt. Hunter’s salary: $1.2 million per year.

MBNA loved Senator Joe Biden of Delaware, by the way. They gave $214,000 to his Senate campaigns. Joe Biden owned an older mansion at this time that lacked central air conditioning. It was valued at $1 million by Delaware property tax assessors. But an MBNA executive stepped in and paid $1.2 million for it while Hunter was serving as a senior vice president there.

Working at MBNA was too rigorous for Hunter, what with their expectations that he should do things like “show up on time” and “answer the phone.” Slave drivers!

So, in 1998, Hunter Biden made a career change. Bill Clinton appointed him as the executive director of e-commerce policy coordination at the Commerce Department. Even though Hunter Biden had zero experience in dot-com industries, he was pulling down a six-figure salary. Hunter Biden ran out the door at the Commerce Department in 2001, right around the time that the dot-com bubble popped. Not that there’s anything suspicious about the timing!

After leaving government service, Hunter Biden opened a lobbying firm with his dad’s former campaign manager, a guy named William Oldaker. They set up shop within walking distance of the US Senate, and named the firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair. Hunter Biden finally struck it rich. It turns out that a lot of companies are willing to pay a lobbying firm millions and millions of dollars, when one of the lobbyists is able to walk across the street and directly lobby their dad. (Even though this is illegal as hell.)

One of Hunter Biden’s friends told The New Yorker magazine that Hunter had “a very strong last name that really paid off in terms of our lobbying efforts.”

Uh huh.

Oldaker, Biden & Belair was a two-way money street for the Biden family. Millions poured in from outside companies, and the lobbying firm became a handy money-laundering scheme for Joe Biden himself. When everyday people donate money to a political campaign, that money is supposed to be spent on the campaign. This is inconvenient for corrupt politicians who feel entitled to spend that money on themselves and/or their mansions. So, for the eight years that Oldaker, Biden & Belair existed, Joe Biden poured hundreds of thousands of his campaign’s donor funds into the firm for “legal services.”

See how that works? People donate money to Joe Biden to run for Senate. Joe Biden pays his son’s company for services rendered, and the money has been “washed.” Drug cartels wish they had it so easy. And this is all legal for political campaigns, by the way. It’s why so many politicians have adult children who go into lobbying or related professions.

When Joe Biden decided to run for president in 2008, he had to put his foot down. He ordered Hunter to find a new job, since he didn’t want it to look like there was any “conflict of interest” with his son’s lobbying business.

Hunter tried to get a job on Wall Street, but no company would hire him due to his previous drug conviction. So, the Bidens came up with a solution that almost any regular person would think of: They bought an investment firm called Paradigm Companies. One of Joe’s major campaign donors, a company called Lotito, partnered with the Bidens on the deal.

After a short career that involved working at a credit card company, a job in the Clinton administration and a job as a lobbyist, Hunter Biden was suddenly the CEO of an investment firm, with a salary of $1.2 million a year. Not bad for a guy in his early 30s!

It was, however, bad for people who trusted their money with Paradigm Companies. Hunter Biden ran his brand-new investment firm into the ground in less than a year and was suddenly looking for work again in 2007.

Thanks to then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s sponsorship, Hunter Biden then became the vice chairman of Amtrak under the Bush administration. No, really! That actually happened!

When Republicans asked Hunter Biden why he was qualified to run the government-owned railroad, Hunter responded that he was a frequent commuter and had been an Amtrak customer for over 30 years. You really can’t make this stuff up. The US Senate confirmed Joe Biden’s son as the vice chairman of Amtrak, based on the qualification that he had ridden on trains.

When Hunter left Amtrak in 2009, he had a very busy year. He co-founded two different investment firms with people who had donated gobs of money to the Obama-Biden campaign, Rosemont Seneca, LLC and Eudora Global. And at the same time, he suddenly landed a no-show job at the Boies Schiller Flexner law firm in New York, which is owned by a bunch of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s cronies.

And with all of that on his plate, Hunter Biden still had time to join the US Navy when he was in his late 30s! Hunter received a direct commission in 2013 as a public affairs officer in a Virginia reserve unit. This was a bit strange, considering the fact that Hunter Biden was way too old to join the Navy and he had a previous disqualifying drug conviction. But when your dad is the Vice President of the United States, you can apparently get whatever job you feel like getting. Hunter received two special waivers from the Obama administration to gain a commission in the US Navy. Unfortunately, Hunter Biden tested positive for cocaine in a urine test less than a year into his patriotic service of America, and they were forced to kick him out.
